Hi. I am Julie Lansdell. I am married to Kevin Lansdell and we are from Tupelo, MS. Kevin & I have 2 children. Crystal is 14 and Haden is 12. I would like to share with you why we started this website. I understand that when you are facing a life altering experience that you may feel alone, depressed, or angry. I understand this because of my own life altering experience at the age of nine years old. I would like to encourage those who have been through an injury or an illness and let you know that God has a plan for your life.

At age 9, Julie had a case of Chickenpox that suddenly turned tragic. Her fever

of 104 + would not come down.

The Doctor told her parents to put her in a tub of ice, but it did not work! They rushed her to  NMMC Hospital where the Doctors determined that she should be flown to LeBonheur’s Children’s Hospital Immediately. When she arrived at LeBonheur, she was diagnosed with more than chicken pox. Now she had double pneumonia and encephalitis. Her fever was so severe she started having seizures. Her body and immune system were so week, the chickenpox had completely taken over, inside and out,

of her body. Her eyes were swollen shut and to keep her breathing she was on a ventilator. The team of doctors had done everything in their power, including experimental treatments. They finally had to tell her parents that there were nothing more that could be done and she probably would not live through the

night.

  Cancer Survivor Kevin Russell
Reba McEntire, Kevin Russell & Kelly Clarkson

Hello, my name is Kevin Russell; you may know me from KZ103, but what you may not know is that I’m a Cancer Survivor!!! Back in June 2004, I noticed a knot on the right side of my neck. I knew it was something that wasn't supposed to be there, so I scheduled an appointment with Montgomery Berry, M.D., an ENT physician who scheduled the biopsy for a later date at NMMC in Tupelo. I received an early birthday present, a diagnosis of Hodgkin's disease. I received the news on July 14, just days prior to my 23rd birthday.
